Case Studies?

·     Case Study 1

One company we helped had 2 employees in an admin department who were severely overloaded with work and their Management was contemplating putting on a third person.

Amongst the workload were a few reports that took about 4 hours each to prepare every week plus a few others that took about an hour each.

We identified some double entry as well as a lot of manual calculating and analysis. We developed a process to do all the calculating and analyzing by the computer (which is what computers are good at). We linked to the data entered elsewhere in the company and automated these reports so that it only took a couple of minutes each to produce.

This greatly reduced their workload and prevented the need to put another person on – quite a saving!

Also because the employees are no longer overloaded, they are happier and less stressed.

·     Case Study 2

Another company had 9 inkjet computers with huge ink cartridge costs (yearly cost alone could buy a colour photocopier). By replacing the printers with a fully networked colour photocopier, which is leased over 3 years they saved over 60% of their printing costs per year (and increased the quality of the print outs in the process, which gave a more professional outlook to their clients and customers).

How does the Process Work?

There are 2 parts to the process

  • First we do a survey of your IT infrastructure including your hardware, network, internet and software.

  • Second we interview your employees to extract the information on how your business operates (how a job comes in, how it is handled internally, and how you eventually invoice your customer, paper trail etc)

We look for opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce labour and obsolete processes and systems.  We can often remove double entry of data as well as automating many of your manual complex processes.
